Members of our Tocqueville Society joined us at our annual Thank You Celebration, held on May 5, 2016 at the Ledgemont Country Club.
Congratulations to Martha and Oliver Bennett, our 2015 Tocqueville Society Award honorees. They have been Tocqueville Society members for 12 years and have made significant, lasting change in the lives of Rhode Islanders.
The Tocqueville Society was established in recognition of Alexis de Tocqueville, a political thinker and historian whose work focused on creating social equality in our communities through volunteerism and advancing the common good. Members of the Tocqueville Society are notable for their outstanding generosity in support of United Way of Rhode Island’s (UWRI) mission. Their values align with UWRI’s commitment to changing lives and strengthening our community, together.
