Why join?

Women United of Rhode Island brings together women who are passionate about strengthening our community through collective philanthropy, advocacy, and leadership. Together, we invest in solutions that help women, children, and families—especially ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) households —achieve long-term stability and opportunity.

Women United is part of a global United Way movement of 75,000+ women across 165 communities, united by the belief that when women lead, communities thrive.

OUR RHODE ISLAND IMPACT

Women United Rhode Island advances United Way of Rhode Island’s mission by investing in solutions that help working families achieve stability and opportunity.

Building a growing network of women leaders committed to equity and opportunity

Our work focuses on the issues that most directly impact families who are working hard but struggling to afford the basics:

Early Learning & Family Support – Promoting school readiness and access to quality childcare

Economic Stability for ALICE Families – Strengthening household financial security

Women’s Leadership & Advocacy – Elevating women’s voices to influence systems-level change across Rhode Island
