On May 24, nearly 100 leaders, educators, and community members gathered for ALC’s Afterschool Day at the Rhode Island State House.
They advocated for out-of-school learning programs by presenting a unified message highlighting Rhode Island’s needs:
- Increased access for local children
- Dedicated state funding
- A permanent joint commission to oversee program creation and improvement
